Tips for Deciding When to Upgrade Your Computer – Part 1

When people buy new computers, they buy the most updated version so that they won’t have to upgrade it for some time. However, as the computer world keeps on developing, you will need to upgrade your computer sooner or later. Now, when is the right time to upgrade your computer?

The first sign your computer needs an upgrade is when it starts to run slowly. When your memory starts to be filled with lots of data, it starts to run slow. To get it back to its usual speed, you can erase the unused files, clean your browsers, and defrag it. If your computer still runs slow after you have done all these steps, then it is a sign that your computer needs an upgrade. Upgrade your computer memory to make it move faster.

The second reason to upgrade your computer is when there are new technologies coming around. Computer world changes very fast. New items and technologies are coming to the market everyday. If you are a computer freak typical guy, then you must be tempted to always be up to date. Buy the latest software and newest hardware products that offer faster and better quality for your computer.

Three Things You Need to Know Before You Decide to Buy Your Computer – Part 2

Third, if you buy a computer mainly for graphic purposes, it is better if you buy one whose graphic cards are not integrated. The latest games need a computer with dedicated graphic card to play. To find out whether a computer has an integrated graphic card or not, look at the back of the CPU. If the monitor cable is plugged vertical, then it has an integrated graphic card. If the port is horizontal, then it has a dedicated graphic card.To get a better speed, you will also need at least Core2Duo processor and 4 gigabytes of RAM.

When you finally enter the store to buy your computer, hold on to the specification you have had in mind. Do not give in to the sales representative’s persuasion to buy the latest high-powered version of computer when you only need a basic one. Ask the sales representative to explain the specification of each computer and make sure you choose the right computer to buy.
