Application Engineer

Apex is looking for a highly motivated Application Engineer to take on a leading role in designing, building, testing, implementing and maintaining applications to meet specific customer requirements. All work under this position is done at our Silver Spring, MD office.

Qualified candidates will bring the following required skills:

• Strong knowledge of ASP.NET
• Strong knowledge of HTML and DHTML
• Strong client interaction skills
• Strong requirements discovery and documentation skills
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and/or Oracle development

Outstanding candidates will also bring additional skills, such as:

• Strong knowledge of both VB.Net and C#
• Strong knowledge of ASP
• Knowledge of AJAX
• Working knowledge of agile development techniques and tools
• Working knowledge of J2EE
• Requirements analysis skills
• Oracle and/or SQL Server deployment and management skills
• Project management skills

Experience:

• 2-7 years of application development in a team-oriented environment

Education:

• BA/BS
